The course runs on the BMW Performance Center's closed driving track, so there is no traffic and the surface is smooth pavement throughout. It is mostly flat with a couple of gentle rises, which makes for quick times. The Corporate Shield format means a good portion of the field is running as part of a team, and that gives the evening a competitive but purposeful feel.

Packet pickup runs the evening before at Fleet Feet on Augusta Street in Greenville, with a shorter window on race evening itself. Parking is off-site at The Ultimate Driving Museum, with a shuttle to the event, so arriving with extra time to spare is a good idea. Spectators must register in advance, even at no charge, since the venue is a restricted area.
