About the Blazin' Glazin' Donut Race

This out-and-back course runs through Wesselman Park, turning around and returning to where it started. The terrain is park running, the surroundings are trees and open space, and a portion of what runners pay goes to support Wesselman Woods. Mini donuts are waiting at the finish line.

Race-day check-in opens well before the start, but there is also an early packet pickup option the week before at a local fitness studio. The race goes on in rain or shine, which is worth knowing if cold-weather nerves have you second-guessing things.

Common Questions About the Blazin' Glazin' Donut Race

Will I finish last at the Blazin' Glazin' Donut Race?

Almost certainly not. Half the 3 Miles field finished slower than 27:20, and the last recorded finisher came in around 1:16:20, so there is a long tail of runners behind the middle of the pack. Most fields are far slower than people expect.

Is the Blazin' Glazin' Donut Race a good first 3 Miles?

It is a small race (111 finishers), which is friendlier and less intimidating than a big-city event, though the field thins out. There is no qualifying time, and the finish-time spread above shows how varied the field really is. If it is your first 3 Miles, that spread matters more than the winner's time.

How competitive is the Blazin' Glazin' Donut Race?

The 3 Miles winner ran 15:35 while the median finisher took 27:20. That spread points to a mixed field, with a competitive front and a big recreational middle.
