About the Berkeley Heights 5K Race and Fitness Walk for Mental Health
The course runs on roads through Berkeley Heights, starting and finishing at Veterans Memorial Park. It is a certified road race, so the course has been measured and marked properly. The event is built around mental health awareness, with the feel of a neighborhood morning that draws runners alongside families out for a walk. Post-race, there is a DJ, refreshments, and wellness activities including yoga and art and pet therapy.
Packet pickup is available the morning of the race at Memorial Field on Plainfield Avenue, so there is no pressure to pick up beforehand. The start area is the park itself, which also serves as the post-race gathering spot.
