About the Bellingham Bay Marathon
The marathon runs point-to-point, starting near the Lummi Nation School and finishing at Depot Market Square. The shorter distances start at Depot Market Square instead, so those runners never see the full route. The proceeds go to local youth organizations, which gives the race a reason for being beyond the race itself.
Packet pickup the evening before is at the Bellingham Cruise Terminal on Harris Ave. The marathon start has its own morning pickup at the start line, separate from the other distances. The finish area has live music and a beer garden.
