About the BeHeard Movement's 5K Dignity Dash & Thanksgiving Drive
The course runs at Lions Playground at Lake Hefner, so you get water views and park surroundings underfoot. The race is tied to a Thanksgiving donation drive collecting hygiene supplies, clothing, and food items, so many people arrive with a bag to drop off before they run. The atmosphere reflects that: people are there for the cause as much as the clock.
The start area is at the park, with cooling stations along the route. The donation drive runs alongside the race, so expect tables and drop-off points near the start. It is worth knowing what the drive is collecting before you show up, since bringing something to donate is very much part of the morning.
