About the Bath at Play's Spring Colors 5k and Half-k Color Run
The course runs out and back through downtown Bath along the riverfront, starting and finishing at Bridge Park on the Kennebec River. The route is untimed, and volunteers are posted along the way to dust runners with bursts of colored powder. Younger kids have a shorter waterfront loop they can lap as many times as they like, and the staggered start lets the bigger runners loop back to join them.
Both check-in and day-of registration open at Bridge Park on race morning, at the southern end of the park near a red flag and a pop-up canopy. The race goes paperless, so having your QR code ready on your phone speeds things along. Street parking and a permit lot near the Bath Police Department are the main options; posted signs mark the limits.
