About the Backyard Ultra Tailgate
The Backyard Ultra Tailgate runs on the Swamp Rabbit Trail, a paved path through Greenville. The format is simple: a short loop repeats on the hour, and you decide when you are done. There is no pressure to keep going, and plenty of reason to stop, since the space between laps has games, vendor booths, and a big screen showing football.
Proceeds benefit a program supporting children in Kenya through local churches, with raffle prizes tied to each completed lap, sponsored by local businesses. Bring a lawn chair. The vibe between loops is more tailgate than race finish.
