About the ASDAsh 5K to Beat Tooth Decay
The race starts and finishes at Boettchers Commons, on a campus connected to a dental school. The course has a named stretch called the Meatball Mile, tracked as a Strava segment. There is a prize for the fastest runner through that segment, so it draws a little extra competition within the larger run.
Snacks are out at the finish. Proceeds go toward dental care for patients in need of dentures, so the cause is specific and the connection to the organizing school is direct.
