About the ARR Thanksgiving Day Classic
The race starts and finishes at the Peoria Sports Complex, a baseball and sports facility that gives the course a distinctive stadium-area feel. Several distance options mean the morning stretches from a short fun run all the way to a longer road race, and pies go to the top finishers in each age group rather than the usual hardware.
Packet pickup is available the evening before at the Sports Complex, with an earlier option on a prior weekend at a local running store. On race morning, pickup opens well before the first wave goes off. Runners driving in should use the Stadium Way entrance, as one of the course routes exits through a separate lot entrance.
