About the Area 13.1 Half Marathon

Area 13.1 is a night race that starts on Willeo Road near the Chattahoochee Nature Center, running a couple of loops along the river and boardwalks. The course is genuinely flat, with only a small amount of total climbing. Because the race runs into full dark, a headlamp or running light is not optional; some stretches along the water are dimly lit.

Packet pickup happens at two locations in the days before the race, one at a local brewery and one at a running store, and there is no race-morning pickup. Parking is remote, with shuttle service to the start. After you finish, there is a live DJ, food trucks, and beer from Gate City Brewing for runners of legal age.
