About the Anderson 5k Run/Walk
This race raises money for a scholarship fund honoring two neighbors killed in their community, and the weight of that purpose is present on the course. It starts and finishes at a recreation center, with age group awards spread across a wide range of divisions. Water and a granola bar are out on the course for everyone who runs or walks.
Packet pickup and registration open well before the start, so you have time to sort things out before the gun. The recreation center is the anchor for everything, including parking. Dogs are not permitted on the course or in the race area.
