About the ALKC Key to a Cure 5K and Fun Run
The race starts and finishes at Veterans Park in Hoover, with both a 5K and a shorter fun run option on offer. The event benefits Children's of Alabama, and that purpose is present throughout the morning, with the cause connecting most of the people who show up to run or walk.
Packet pickup happens race morning at the park, so there is no need to make a separate trip the day before. The start area is at the park itself, which keeps logistics straightforward for anyone coming in from across the area.
