About the Alive and Running VA 5K Fun Run/Walk

The course runs through the campus of a VA medical center, starting in the parking lot near the entrance. From there it climbs the main hill and loops the historic campus a couple of times before coming back down to the finish. The terrain is road, and the hill is the one real challenge.

Packet pickup happens the evening before the race at the medical center entrance, with a second window on race morning before the start. A virtual option is also available for those who cannot make it in person, with a window of several weeks to complete the distance wherever works for you.
