The course winds through wooded terrain around a university campus, so there is real tree cover and a natural feel even though you are close to the city. Several distance options are available, including a back-to-back combination where you run the shorter race and then go straight into the longer one. Root beer floats are waiting at the finish. The event raises money for Special Olympics Alaska.
