The course runs along the Leeward Coast near Nimitz Beach, with the Hoakalei Country Club golf course on one side and open ocean views on the other. It is road running on flat ground, the kind of morning where the scenery does most of the talking. The start is at Wai Kai, a resort area on the west side of Ewa Beach.
