About the Airport Night to Light 5K
The course runs on the actual runway of Goshen Municipal Airport, closed to traffic for the morning. It starts before sunrise, with blue runway lights marking both edges of the pavement all the way through. The route is rectangular and paved, with a turning point at each end. It is an unusual place to run.
Packet pickup is available the evening before at the airport, with race-morning pickup also on offer. On race day, follow the entrance signs to the main hangar, where runners gather before the start. Dogs are not permitted on the runway. The race benefits a program that connects young people to careers in aviation, and the hangar gives a look at that work up close.
