About the 6th Annual AirPeyton Memorial 5K Walk/Run
This race is held at Montpelier High School, the alma mater of Peyton Smith, the young man it honors. Peyton graduated from there and later passed away after battling a rare bone cancer. The event draws people who knew him and people who simply want to show up for the cause. A short kids fun run runs alongside the main event.
The festival atmosphere around the race is real. Food trucks, lawn games, vendors, lemonade, a raffle, and a silent auction all fill out the morning. Running remotely is an option for those who cannot attend. All proceeds go toward pediatric cancer research and family support through AirPeyton, Inc.
