About the Adventure Awaits 5k
The course runs through Riverfront Park and mixes trail and road surfaces, so expect some variety underfoot. The park sits along the water, and the scenery carries you through. Local Scouts staff the water stop along the way, and a kids' fun run precedes the main event, so the start area has a lot of young energy before the field heads out.
Packet pickup runs the evening before at a location announced closer to race day, with morning pickup available for those who skip it. The morning opens with a flag ceremony led by local Scouts before the running begins. An awards ceremony follows the race, with age-group categories across the full spread, and there is a playground at the park for kids after the finish.
