About the '89er 5K
The start and finish line sits at Honor Park in downtown Guthrie, across from the Oklahoma Publishing Museum. The route runs through a city with deep Land Run history, and the race theme leans into that story. The whole thing happens alongside the annual '89er Day parade and celebration, so the streets are alive well before and after the gun goes off.
Packet pickup runs the afternoon before at the JROTC building behind Guthrie High School, with morning pickup available at the start area. Worth knowing: Harrison Avenue is closed at Division Street on race day, so parking means turning onto Vilas and heading toward the side streets west of there. Food trucks and a carnival are part of the day, so plan to stay a while.

The '89er 5K has been held every year since at least 2022. That is as far back as RunSignup's records for this race go, so it may well be older.
How we calculate these stats: RunSesh calculates these figures from the most recent published results of past editions, sourced from RunSignup. We show aggregates only: field size, winning and median times, and the cutoff. We never publish individual finisher tables. Last updated Jul 27, 2026.
