About the 5K Run on the Firestone Grand Prix of St. Petersburg Track
The course runs on the actual pavement used by the IndyCar race that takes over these streets each spring. It starts and finishes on Bayshore Drive NE beside North Straub Park, then joins the circuit at one of the turns on Central Avenue. The whole route is paved, open to dogs on leashes and strollers, and there is a water station along the way.
Packet pickup runs the evening before the race at a nearby sports bar, with a second window on race day itself at North Straub Park before the start. Both locations are close to the course.
