About the Irish Cultural Centre 14th Annual 5K Road Race & Children's Fun Run
The course starts and finishes on the grounds of the Irish Cultural Center in Canton, staying on road the whole way. It is flat throughout, and the route brings you back to where you began, so the crowd at the finish is the same one that sent you off. Strollers and wheelchairs are part of the field, not an afterthought.
After the race, there is live music under a tent on the center grounds. The children's fun run follows later in the morning, so families with younger kids tend to stick around rather than head straight to the car.
