The course runs through a golf course on the edge of Waterville, mixing concrete cart paths with grass fairways. The route winds around the grounds, so you get a different view at almost every turn rather than a straight out-and-back. Underfoot it shifts between firm and soft, which gives it a cross-country feel even though the terrain is never technical.
