About the 5k/1 mile Turkey Trot at Union League Liberty Hill
The course runs along the cart paths of a golf course, so the surface is smooth but the terrain has some real character. There is at least one steep hill, which is worth knowing if you are bringing a stroller. The surroundings are open and quiet in the way a golf course tends to be on a holiday morning.
The race starts at the Lafayette Ballroom, tucked at the far end of the property's main driveway. A continental breakfast is set out after the race gets going. Prizes go to the top finishers in the main distance across several categories, including a children's division.
