About the 50th Lake to Lake 10k
The course runs through Lakeland's chain of lakes neighborhood on residential streets and paved paths, passing through the historic Lake Morton district along the way. You move between several lakes, and Lake Morton is where the city's swans tend to be out on the water. The terrain is paved throughout, with no significant elevation to speak of.
The race is organized by the Lakeland Runners Club and is chip-timed. A minimum pace requirement applies, so walkers who plan ahead are welcome. Packet pickup happens before race day, and the organizers ask that you arrange pickup in person since bibs and awards cannot be mailed.
