About the 2026 4,000 Steps for Diabetes Run
The course runs on a middle school track in Paragould, a loop the organizers call the Eagle Mile. It is a flat, paved track surface, the kind of place where you can see the whole field at once. The race benefits diabetes research and local diabetes efforts, and costumes are a big part of the culture here, with awards for creativity and team spirit.
Packet pickup happens at a hospital atrium the day before the race, with a race-morning option available as well. The start area is outside the school, and pre-race activities run for a couple of hours before the gun.
