About the 22nd POTOMAC STREET MILE
The course heads down East Potomac Street and turns back, starting and finishing at Square Corner Park. It is flat and fast, a single straight shot along the main drag and back. The race honors Brunswick's former police chief, organized by Brunswick Main Street, with proceeds supporting the Brunswick Heritage Museum.
Parking is available in the nearby MARC Train lot and a lot near the Potomac Street Grill. Restrooms are also at the Potomac Street Grill, steps from the start. Runners go off in separate heats, youngest first, so the morning has a natural progression from the kids' race to the open field.
