About the Zombie 5K & Glow Run
This one starts at the local rescue squad station after dark, which sets the tone before you even reach the course. Glow-in-the-dark gear fits right in, and runners show up in costume as much as running clothes. There is a zombie element on the course itself, so the route has more going on than just putting in miles.
After the run, a costume contest and divisional awards keep things going. The organizers are the Humboldt Area Rescue Squad, so the event doubles as a fundraiser with a real local connection.
