About the YMCA Halloween Run
The race runs through Ann Morison Park in Boise, with distance options spread across the morning so different groups finish close together. Costumes are the whole point: runners come in full Halloween getup, and judges pick winners from the field before the first group heads out. The park setting keeps the route approachable and the atmosphere easy to follow for first-timers.
After finishing, there is a trunk-or-treat put on by the presenting sponsor. The Idaho Foodbank also has donation bins on site, so bringing a shelf-stable item is a practical way to round out the morning.
