About the Woodlands Turkey Trot
This Thanksgiving morning run starts at the Woodlands Playground and Pavilion, and the crowd leans heavily toward families. The shortest dash is aimed at toddlers, a middle distance suits older kids, and a full road run handles the adults. Costumes and turkey hats are genuinely part of the scene, not an afterthought.
Entry is free, with donations of canned food or cash going directly to a local church food pantry. The setup is at the neighborhood pavilion, so there is a gathering spot from the moment you arrive. The morning is built around giving as much as running.
