About the Witches, Wheels, and Wicked Trails
This is a Halloween event built around costumes as much as miles. Runners, walkers, cyclists, and strollers all share the trails together, and dressing up, including decorating your bike or stroller, is very much part of the point. The routes wind through local trails, and the whole thing starts and finishes at the wellness center in Moorefield.
Costume participation is strongly encouraged, so showing up plain-clothed puts you in the minority. There is a shorter kids' race alongside the main run and bike ride, so families tend to arrive as a group rather than dropping off a single runner. The start area doubles as the finish, which keeps things simple.
