About the Winter Trail Fest (WTF) Half Marathon and 5 Mile

The course runs through Yankee Springs Recreation Area on rolling singletrack, and winter conditions are part of the deal. Snow, slush, ice, and mud can all show up, sometimes in the same morning. The signature moment is a river crossing; runners who want to skip it have a short detour around it. A ruck division runs alongside the regular field.

Packet pickup happens on-site at Deep Lake Campground on race morning, before the start. Volunteers direct parking. This is a state park, so you will need a Recreation Passport to get through the gate; buying one before you arrive is cheaper than paying at the entrance.
