About the Wine at the Line
The course runs out from a working winery and loops through the farm and vineyard land surrounding it, so you spend most of the race looking at rows of vines and open countryside. It is a road and path surface, mostly flat, and the start and finish are both at the winery itself.
Pets and skates are not allowed on the course, and strollers are strongly discouraged. The field draws a wide range of paces, so faster runners are encouraged to seed themselves up front. Wine is, naturally, part of the post-race scene at the winery.
