About the Windermere Marathon
The marathon and half marathon run point-to-point, finishing in downtown Spokane beneath a landmark clocktower. The courses are designed for speed, with Boston qualification a real possibility for runners chasing a time. The shorter distances follow the Centennial Trail along the Spokane River, which keeps things scenic even when you are pushing hard.
Aid stations are spaced regularly throughout every course, stocked with water, sports drink, gels, and gummy chews. Portable toilets are at each station as well. Runners who expect a longer finish on the marathon have an early start option that buys extra time on the clock.
