About the Wilmington Historic Half, 10K & 5K
All three courses run through historic downtown Wilmington on closed roads, passing over the downtown bridges and along the riverwalk. The half and the longer distance also follow a stretch of riverfront that draws people even when there is no race. The finish is at Riverfront Park, where there is music, beer from a couple of local breweries, and food.
Packet pickup happens the afternoon before the race at Cape Fear Community College, which the organizer calls the preferred option. Street parking is available downtown near the pickup building, and there is a visitor lot close by at a nearby corner.
