About the Wildwood Shivering Shadows 7K
This one runs at night, which shapes everything about it. The route moves through a few different surfaces, starting on paved trail before shifting to crushed gravel and then onto natural single-track through the woods. Rocks, roots, and low branches are real obstacles, not decorative ones. The section along what locals call Zombie Road is the heart of it, dark and uneven underfoot. Bring a light you trust.
Packet pickup is available at Wildwood City Hall in the days before the race, or at the start area at the middle school on race evening before the gun. The start and finish are at the same school, so logistics are simple. Post-race refreshments are part of the evening, and costumes are welcome.
