About the Wild Mountain Winery Wine Run 5k

The course runs through the vineyards and trails at a hilltop winery outside Taylors Falls, so the views open up across the surrounding countryside as you go. It is a couple of loops, and the terrain mixes dirt roads with cross-country trail sections. Expect some short, steep pitches and uneven footing in places.

Packet pickup opens race morning, an hour before the start. Parking is at the nearby resort, with a shuttle running back and forth to the winery throughout the morning. Dogs are welcome on the shuttle if they are leashed. After the race, wood-fired pizza, cheese and crackers, and a fresh-baked loaf with honey butter are on the grounds, along with a pour of wine.
