About the Wild Goose Trail Festival
The Wild Goose Trail Festival takes place inside Wawayanda State Park, which means the terrain is genuine backcountry trail. Expect rocks, roots, and uneven footing that keeps you honest. Distance options run from a short entry point all the way up to a hundred-miler with a generous cutoff, so the field spans first-time long-distance runners and seasoned ultramarathon veterans.
The weekend opens with panels and a film screening before racing begins. Free camping is available to participants, pacers, and crew throughout, which gives the whole gathering a base-camp feel. The event benefits Bigger Than The Trail, a nonprofit partner.
