About the Wheeler Elementary School Turkey Trot 5K and Keiki Fun Run
Both routes start and finish at Wheeler Elementary School. The main run is a road course, and the shorter Keiki Fun Run is designed for children. Strollers are welcome, and plenty of people show up in costume. The whole morning has a school-community feel, with families from the surrounding area turning out together.
Check-in opens before the first wave goes off. If you bring a canned good to the check-in table, you get a discount on your entry; donations go to the Wheeler YMCA Food Pantry. The event is on an installation, so plan ahead for access before you arrive.
