About the Wetumpka Dickens of a Run 5k & Jingle Bell Jot
The race starts and finishes near the farmers market and sports complex, routing through the historic downtown area during Wetumpka's Dickens Christmas celebration. Costume wearing is genuinely part of the culture here, Victorian dress and holiday getups included, and there are awards for the most spirited outfits alongside the usual age-division results.
After the race, the Dickens Christmas festival is already underway in the surrounding streets, with a Christmas market, carriage rides, live entertainment, and holiday shopping all within walking distance of the finish.
