About the Westport Santa Dash
The route runs through the Westport neighborhood streets, so you are moving through an active part of the city rather than a closed park path. The shorter option feeds directly into the Westport Christmas Market, which means you can peel off early and be standing in front of a warm drink while the longer-distance runners are still out on course.
Participants show up dressed as Santa, hats and coats included, so the crowd on the sidewalk is watching a sea of red suits go by. There is hot chocolate at the finish, and the market itself is right there when you are done.
