About the West Springfield Pyramid Challenge November 2026
This is a free cross-country fun run for elementary school kids from the West Springfield Pyramid schools, held at Washington Irving Middle School. Younger grades run a shorter course, older grades run longer, and there is also a unified heat with an accessible course designed for students who need it. A mascots race rounds out the morning, weather permitting.
Each school's participants pick up a bib before their heat, so arriving early is worth it. The heats are staggered by grade and gender throughout the morning, which keeps things moving and gives families time to watch and regroup between races.
