About the West Chester Mile
The West Chester Mile runs on the track at Henderson High School, seeded by ability so you race against people close to your pace. There is also a short elite race on the schedule alongside the mile heats, and the speediest heats close out the evening, so the crowd builds as the night goes on.
After the racing, the party moves to the Hotel Warner nearby. Pizza is out and the bar runs drink specials, so most people stick around to talk through their races and watch the elite heats replay in conversation if not on a screen.
