About the Wellington STAR Foundation 5K 10K
The course runs through Wellington's streets, starting and finishing at Centennial Park. The surroundings are open and unhurried, the kind of town where you can see a long way ahead of you on the road. Proceeds go to local charities, so the race has a purpose beyond the running itself.
After the finish, the American Legion hosts an Oktoberfest celebration at the park. It gives runners a reason to hang around, and the Fort Collins Running Club is involved in putting the whole event together.
