About the Weatherford Turkey Trot
The course winds through Weatherford's historic district, passing streets that have some age and character to them. It is a Thanksgiving morning race, so expect families at the curb and a crowd that is there for the occasion as much as the miles. A kids' short-course option runs on York Avenue, so younger ones can have their own race moment too.
The race is hosted by a local young professionals group and benefits a Weatherford nonprofit, with a toy drive running alongside it on race day. Participants are asked to wear their bib to receive race-day extras, so pin it on before you head to the start.
