The course runs through Laurel Hill County Park, a setting that stays shaded and away from traffic. The race centers on teacher appreciation, and participants can name an educator during registration; that teacher receives a personal certificate acknowledging their work.
Packet pickup opens race morning before the start, with an opening ceremony and warm-up just before the gun. Afterward, the park hosts a celebration with music and food. Awards cover overall finishers and age group leaders, plus a few creative categories including a parent-child duo prize and a fastest teacher award.
