About the Warriors For Wellness 5k
The course starts on a college campus in Winter Haven, heads out to loop around Lake Elbert on a recently completed path, then returns to the finish back on campus. The lake path is the heart of it, and the route is straightforward with no significant climbing. This is a race put on by physical therapist and occupational therapist students, so the crowd skews toward healthcare folks and their people.
Awards go to the top overall finishers and to age group leaders across a broad spread of categories. Packet pickup timing is still being worked out based on registration numbers, so it is worth checking back closer to race day.
