About the 11th Annual Walk

The course starts at a racetrack and casino, which gives the morning a distinctive backdrop, open grounds with plenty of room to spread out. The run goes first, then the walk follows a bit later. Pets on leashes are welcome, and teams often dress up, so the field tends to look more like a costume parade than a typical race morning.

Packet pickup happens at the Ronald McDonald House in El Paso in the days before the event, with no race-morning pickup available. If you are collecting bags for a large group, they ask you to call ahead so everything is ready when you arrive.
