About the Wachusett Brew Yard Road Race
This is not a running race. The course starts just outside the Wachusett Brewery, crosses a finish line roughly a step away, and everyone heads straight to the bar. The whole point is the gathering afterward: beer, food, live music, and a raffle, all raising money for Boston Children's Hospital. Costumes are encouraged, and there are awards for best dressed.
Registration opens on race day at the brewery, so you can show up without signing up in advance. The post-race scene is inside, at the bar, which is also where the live music plays.
