About the Wabash Cannonball 5K/1K
The trail runs west from Keener Park and doubles back on the same path. It is flat and paved, with an open corridor that does not offer much shade, but the surface is smooth and the route is easy to follow.
Race-day check-in opens in the late afternoon and closes just before the kids race goes off. The start area at Keener Park gives everyone a clear place to gather before either event begins.

The Wabash Cannonball 5K/1K has been held every year since at least 2019. That is as far back as RunSignup's records for this race go, so it may well be older.
How we calculate these stats: RunSesh calculates these figures from the most recent published results of past editions, sourced from RunSignup. We show aggregates only: field size, winning and median times, and the cutoff. We never publish individual finisher tables. Last updated Jul 27, 2026.
