About the Visit Tuscaloosa Half Marathon + 5K
The course rolls along the Black Warrior River and the Tuscaloosa River Walk, then cuts through downtown neighborhoods and across university campus before finishing at Government Plaza. It is not flat, the hills keep coming throughout, but the variety of scenery moves you through it.
Packet pickup runs the evening before the race at Government Plaza, with a short race-morning window as a backup, though lines can get long so earlier is smarter. After the finish, a post-race party takes over the plaza with live music, food, and cold beer reserved for runners.
